No matter the time of year, I LOVE a good burger but with Memorial Day weekend here that love turns into an obsession. There's nothing better than biting into a nice juicy burger, and don't get me wrong, I enjoy a traditional burger: meat, cheese, lettuce, pickles, onion, mayo, and mustard. But I can make that at home.
If I'm going to order a burger at a restaurant, I want something more: avocados, aiolis, bacon, more bacon, etc. Well, luckily for all of us, 225 Magazine compiled "Five Unique Baton Rouge Burgers To Try For National Burger Day" and here they are...
1. Peanut Butter & Jelly Bacon Burger by Your Mom’s Restaurant & Bar
2. GC2 by Curbside Burgers
3. Big Ben Challenge by The Londoner Pub & Grill
4. Chili Con Carne Cheeseburger by Superior Grill
5. The Burger by The Overpass Merchant

I've had a burger at Curbside and The Overpass Merchant before and can attest that they know what they're doing. As for the others, let's just say they're now on my list to try.
