California Employers Must Post Salaries For Job Listings Under New Law

A new law was signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom this week, where employers in California must post the salaries for their job listings.

The new bill (Senate Bill 1162) requires companies with 15 or more employees to include the pay scales for the job postings and must also provide the salary if the employee requests them. If companies fail to do so, they will be fined for failing to submit demographic pay data to the state. The reason for this new law is to help promote pay equity and it will go into effect on January 1st. Click here for more.
