Im happy to this ol DJ is South Louisiana through and through. My Baton Rouge radio career began in the 80s with iHeartmedias #1 hit music station, WFMF. It was an awesome time doing afternoons, but it was only the beginning. Even though I was called up to some bigger markets like New Orleans, San Antonio and Houston, I later discovered theres no place else for a Baton Rouge boy to be, than IN Baton Rouge. The cool thing is that 96.1 With Todays Best Variety is a perfect fit for me, since many of our listeners grew up on WFMF back in the day. Here in Big BR, I have my four amazing kids from grown, down to 13, AND my alma mater is here, so I can say Geaux TIGERS and I do. A LOT! I even get to blow my own horn literally. Every year, this Golden Band From Tigerland member gets to march with LSU Alumni Band in Tiger Stadium once a year. It is SUCH a rush to hear that world-famous Tiger roar of the crowd! I truly have a blessed life to be in Baton Rouge with my wife Melanie, my family and friends, PLUS, I get to share our unique South Louisiana life with you every day. Its an awesome ride that reminds me of what singer Marc Anthony once said: If you love what you do, youll never work a day in your life.
