App Helps you Find Black Owned Restaurants to Support

2019 Rock'n'Roll Seattle Marathon and 1/2 Marathon

It's Black Out Tuesday and people around the globe are showing their support for the Black Lives Matters movement by posting a black square on their social media to use the day to do nothing other than to reflect and educate themselves on the movement that is among them. The black community has voiced several ways that people can support the movement. One of those ways was to support black owned businesses. If you are unable to show your support through protests and want to show your support, shopping and eating at black owned businesses is one of many ways to do that.

My friend posted today about an app called "EatOkra." The app helps you locate locally black owned restaurants to eat at. Since we aren't quite able to go into businesses yet, we can still order takeout to support black owned businesses. The app has received a ton of downloads today.
