These Louisiana Cities Are Considered Among The Most Caring In The U.S.

New Orleans and Baton Rouge are considered among the most caring city in the United States, according to a recent study.

WalletHub.com listed Nashville at No. 83 and Baton Rouge at No. 95 on its list of the "Most Caring Cities in the U.S." released on Monday (December 14.) New Orleans received a total score of 47.71, while Baton Rouge scored 44.91.

WalletHub said it compared the 100 largest cities in the United States "across 39 key indicators of a compassionate spirit." Cities were scored based on "caring for the community," "caring for the vulnerable" and "caring for the work force."

New Orleans ranked 84th in "caring for the community," 87th for "caring for the vulnerable" and 44th in "caring for the workforce." Baton Rouge ranked 95th in "caring for the community," 72nd for "caring for the vulnerable" and 56th in "caring for the workforce."

WalletHub reports more Americans have felt the need to care more in 2020 amid the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic, high unemployment, the fallout of the presidential election and several other factors.
