The most anticipated sporting event is almost here, and football fans across the country are preparing to celebrate the Big Game. Rivalries and competition leading up to the famed game stoke passion in each team's fans and leads to cities across the country claiming to be the best.
A new study by WalletHub compared over 200 cities across the country to determine which are the best for football fans, for both NFL and college. With its horde of die-hard fans, it comes as no surprise that New Orleans cracked the top 10, ranking seventh overall as the best for football fans.
Additionally, New Orleans was tied with Kansas City for the best performing NFL teams in the country, and ranked fifth for most engaged NFL fans.

To determine the list, WalletHub compared 245 cities across the country using 21 relevant metrics and categorized each based on population into large, medium, and small cities.
