PepsiCo just announced the creation of two new drinks that are the first of their kind!
According to a press release, Pepsi Prebiotic Cola is the "first ever prebiotic cola in the traditional cola category," but that's not all! The refreshing new release contains "3g of prebiotic fiber, just 5g of cane sugar,ย 30 calories, no artificial sweeteners," and will be available in two flavors: Original Colaย andย Cherry Vanilla.
Pepsi Prebiotic Cola also contains "functional ingredients" without compromising the classic Pepsi taste.
Ramย Krishnan, CEO of PepsiCo Beverages U.S., had nothing but amazing things to say about the new drinks, referring to them as a "leap forward" for the brand.
"From the iconic blue can, to the consumer-preferred Pepsi Zero Sugar, our portfolio has always adapted to the needs and flavor preferences of the consumer. Pepsi Prebiotic Cola represents the next leap forward in giving consumers choice, optionality, and functional ingredients in their cola experience, without sacrificing the iconic Pepsi taste we're known for delivering. We can't wait for the world to try the taste of Pepsi Prebiotic Cola for themselves!"
The new Pepsi products will be available online this fall and will launch in stores in early 2026. Pepsi Prebiotic Cola in Original Colaย andย Cherry Vanilla flavors will be sold in 12 oz. single cansย "for trial" andย 8-pack formats.
