Baton Rouge residents are having fun in the snow while they can.
On Tuesday, students and visitors slid down a snow-covered levee just off the LSU campus on makeshift sleds.
Some of the people used cardboard boxes, folding tables, and skateboards with the wheels removed to slide down the levee onto River Road near Brightside Drive.
The rare heavy snowfall created what may be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for some of the sledders.
