Dozens of employees of the Arkansas Department of Transportation are working to clear the main roads in Louisiana.
About 60 ARDOT crew members are plowing the snow off the highways and interstates while local crews treat the surfaces with salt and sand, some of which ARDOT provided.
An ARDOT official said the goal is to have the major roadways cleaned up by this evening into Friday morning.
