The Louisiana Department of Health is confirming two deaths related to winter weather.
One is a 60-year-old Orleans Parish woman whose death was caused by a space heater fire.
The other was a 85-year-old Pointe Coupee Parish man where hypothermia was listed as a contributing factor in his death.
Previously on January 9, LDH reported the death of a 65-year-old Rapides Parish man who died of hypothermia due to winter weather conditions.
At least eleven people were killed because of the cold and wintery conditions that stretched from Alabama to North Carolina.
