Road crews from Louisiana and Arkansas are still working to clear the roads of snow and ice.
A spokesman for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development says crews from Arkansas and north Louisiana have made all the difference.
He says they've kept Baton Rouge's Huey P. Long Bridge across the Mississippi River open through the entire freeze. It provides an alternate truck route to I-10 via US Highway 190.
Next stop for the Arkansas crews is New Orleans, where they'll plow the snow off the I-55 bridge.
